The Picture Package® for DVD Handycam® version 1.8.x software supplied with the camcorder is not compatible with Microsoft® Windows Vista® operating system. Sony is offering Picture Motion Browser version 2.0.12 software as an alternative to use with the camcorder and Windows Vista operating system.

Features of Picture Motion Browser version 2.0.12 software:

* Calendar view to view and manage imported images by date.
* Video Trimming function to cut a movie into segments or to save a scene as a still image.
* DVD-Video Creation function to create and original DVD disc from imported images.
* Video Disc Copier to make a copy of a previously created disc.

Notes on using Picture Motion Browser version 2.0.12 software instead of Picture Package for DVD Handycam software:

* You can only write to a 12cm disc. Writing to an 8cm disc is not supported.
* When importing images from a DVD disc, the disc must be finalized beforehand.
* You cannot import images from an 8cm DVD+RW in the camcorder that is connected to the computer via USB.
* There is no available function in Picture Motion Browser that is equivalent to the Music Video/Slideshow Producer available in Picture Package software.
* The function to convert the audio format from Dolby® Digital to MPEG Audio is not available in Picture Motion Browser software.
* Photomovies (slideshows) are not supported.
