The BIOS Update CD can boot the computer disregarding the operating systems and update two sets of the BIOSes (including system programs and Embedded Controller programs) stored in the following ThinkPad computers to fix problems, add new functions, or expand functions as noted below.
For Machine type: 0328 with BIOS ID 86xxxxxx (Upper two alphanumeric characters of BIOS ID are 86)

* (Fix) Fixed an issue where the screen brightness changed few seconds late when the AC adapter was connected/disconnected to the computer on Windows XP.
* (Fix) Fixed an issue which had an installation error of Bluetooth driver when the Bluetooth radio was turned off.
* (Fix) Fixed an issue where the fuel gauge and Power Manager might show 0% as remaining battery charge or an error message.
For Machine type: 2545 with BIOS ID 87xxxxxx (Upper two alphanumeric characters of BIOS ID are 87)
BIOS: 1.08 / ECP: 1.05
* (Fix) Fixed an issue where the ThinkPad 11b/g/n Wireless LAN Mini-PCI Express Adapter II device had a yellow "!" in Device Manager.
* (Fix) Fixed an issue where the On Screen Display for screen brightness might not work correctly when the AC adapter was connected/disconnected to the computer on Windows XP.
* (Fix) Fixed an issue where the fuel gauge and Power Manager might show 0% as remaining battery charge or an error message.
