Use this software for first time USB installations only. Do NOT attach USB cable until prompted by the installation program. The driver contained in this download package is the PCL 6 driver specifically for Windows Vista (64-bit).

The HP Color LaserJet 2605 PCL 6 plug and play package (clj2605-PCL6-pnp-winv64-ww.exe) provides the following:

* An EZInstall program to assist with installation.
* Plug and Play installable PCL 6 printer driver.
o Windows Vista (32b-bit) - HP Color LaserJet 2605 PCL 6 or HP Color LaserJet 2605dn_2605dtn PCL 6 printer driver.

NOTE: If the printer was previously connected via USB to Windows Vista, the "HP Color LaserJet 2605/2605dn/2605dtn PCL6" driver that comes with Windows Vista would have installed. Running this package (clj2605-PCL6-pnp-winv64-ww.exe) will replace the existing "HP Color LaserJet 2605/2605dn/2605dtn PCL6" driver that comes with Windows Vista. However, the driver name will remain "HP Color LaserJet 2605/2605dn/2605dtn PCL6". The driver can be renamed if desired. In addition you will notice that the EZInstall will not "Finish" due to the fact that Windows has already recognized a plug and play event for this printer.
