This installer - WDBMInst.exe installs the WD Button Manager program for Windows 98/ME/2000/XP. This program controls the Dual-Option, MyBook, and MyBook II external hard drives’ button presses and set the free disk space indicator - Fuel Gauge LEDs.. Some drives do not have buttons, therefore, this utility only controls the free disk space indicator - Fuel Gauge LEDs..

Instructions

1. Extract the contents of the WDBMInst.zip file to your desktop using an extraction utility such as WinZip.
2. After extracting the zip file, run (double click) on the file named WDBMInst.exe to install the program. There will not be a progress indicator when this program is run as this is designed as a "silent" installer. After the installation completes, you may need to reboot your system or power cycle your drive.
