This utility upgrades Image Converter 2, 2Plus and 3 (ver. 3.0) software to Image Converter 3 ver 3.1. This upgrade enables users to convert images and video stored on Memory Stick media into formats that can be used by PSP® and mylo™ devices. See below for full list of enhancements.

IMPORTANT: You must have the Image Converter 2 or Image Converter 2 Plus installation CD readily available in order to perform this upgrade.

Enhancements over Image Converter ver 3.0:

* Wizard to convert files into PSP display size (480x270), or standard definition TV size (720x480).
* Automatically convert video recorded by Windows Media Center and add it to the Transfer to list.
NOTE: This feature requires the following:
o Intel® CPU:
+ Pentium® 4 Processor 3.4 GHz or faster, or
+ Pentium® D Processor 3.0 GHz or faster, or
+ Core™ 2 Duo Processor 2.0 GHz or faster
o System memory:
+ Windows® XP: 1.0 GB or more
+ Windows Vista®: 1.5 GB or more
* Convert files shot by HDV cameras
* Improvements to the Graphical User Interface (GUI).
* Old versions of Image Converter are uninstalled when installing Image Converter 3 ver 3.1.
NOTE: After uninstallation, double-click the INST_IC3100_CDUPD.EXE file to continue installing Image Converter 3 ver 3.1.

Additional enhancements over Image Converter 2 and Image Converter 2 Plus software:

* Automatically convert TV program files recorded with Giga Pocket® or VAIO Zone™ software to a supported MPEG-4 format
* Support for video RSS channels (Podcasts)
NOTE: To download and convert video RSS automatically, drag and drop the banner and register the video RSS channels.
* Automatically transfer videos to Memory Stick® media
NOTE: TV programs recorded with a computer and video RSS can be transferred automatically to Memory Stick media inserted in a computer or PSP® handheld gaming device.
* Output three types of video files
o MPEG-4
o MPEG-4 AVC Main Profile
o MPEG-4 AVC Baseline Profile by device
* Support for Windows Vista
