This utility installs a pre-release/beta version docking station IDE controller driver.

Important Notes

* This software upgrade is a pre-release version. It is provided "as is" and the use of said software is at your own risk. There is no technical support available for pre-release software.
* To install this upgrade, you will need to create a bootable floppy disk to receive the update files. To prepare a floppy disk for use with this update, please refer to the Create A Bootable Floppy Disk procedure.
* To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
* It is highly recommended to print out these instructions and the "NT Drivers install.txt" file that will appear as a reference during the installation process.

Download and Installation Instructions

1. Download the 3RDIDE.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. Place a formatted floppy disk into the A: drive.
3. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the 3RDIDE.EXE file.
4. A self-extractor message box will open. Click on the Unzip button to extract the files to the A:\ drive and directory.
5. Click on OK to close the "unzipped successfully" message box.
6. Click on Close in the Self-Extractor message box to close it.
7. In Windows Explorer, open the A: drive to see the contents of the download. The text file named "NT Drivers install.txt" contains instructions for installing these drivers.
8. You may delete the files from your download or temporary directory after extracting them to the A: drive.

The installation of the driver is complete.
