To start downloading Nikon 1 AW1 Camera Firmware Update A:1.11/B:1.11, please choose one of the links from the list below.

Basic Download and Installation instructions: (New firmware versions contain all previous versions.)

Windows

Create a new folder with an appropriate name on your computer hard disk.
Download F-AW1-V111W.exe to the folder created in step 1.
Run F-AW1-V111W.exe to create the folder titled AW1Update, containing the following file: AW1_0111.bin: the firmware
Format a memory card with the camera and use a card reader or similar device to copy AW1_0111.bin to the root directory on the memory card.
Insert the memory card containing the downloaded firmware into the camera and turn on the camera. Select Firmware version from the setup menu and CAREFULLY follow the instructions displayed to upgrade the camera firmware.
After the upgrade is complete, turn the camera off and remove the memory card.
Access the Firmware version item in the setup menu to confirm that the camera firmware has been upgraded.

Macintosh

Download F-AW1-V111.dmg.
Double-click the F-AW1-V111M.dmg icon to mount the disk image titled, F-AW1-V111M. A folder titled AW1Update, containing the following file, will be created inside the disk image: AW1_0111.bin: the firmware
Format a memory card with the camera and use a card reader or similar device to copy AW1_0111.bin to the root directory on the memory card.
Insert the memory card containing the downloaded firmware into the camera and turn on the camera. Select Firmware version from the setup menu and follow the instructions displayed to upgrade the camera firmware.

Access the Firmware version item in the setup menu to confirm that the camera firmware has been upgraded.
