The Creative Vado Central software provided on your camcorder can be used to play, edit, save and share your recorded videos.
This software presently runs only on Microsoft Windows XP and Windows Vista.
The detailed instructions below will guide you to viewing your videos on Windows and Macintosh Computers.
This download contains the Vado Central software found in your Creative Vado HD Pocket Video Cam.
Installation:
1. Download the VADOHD_PCAPP_LA_2_00_09.exe file into your computer's local hard disk.
2. Double-click the downloaded file and follow the instructions on the screen.
To use Vado Central on your Windows XP or Vista computer:
1. Connect Vado HD to an available USB port on your PC. A Windows dialog should appear asking you to choose what you want to do with the device.
2. Choose 'Run Creative Vado Central using the program provided on the device', and click 'OK'.
3. A video codec, which is required to play the videos, will be installed automatically.
4. Once the video codec is installed, you can start to use Vado Central to play, edit, save and share your recorded videos.
5. Please take note that your Vado HD must remain connected to your computer while you are using Vado Central.
To view videos with the default Media Player in your Windows computer:
1. When previewing videos for the first time on Media Player,ensure that the video codec is installed by running Vado Central.
2. Open 'My Computer' and click on 'Vado HD' icon. A window should appear which displays the contents in your camcorder.
3. Double-click the 'DCIM' folder.
4. Double-click any of the 'XXXVIDEO' folders to view your videos. For each video you recorded, you will find a video file in .AVI format.
5. To play your videos, double-click on any video file. Your video will play back in the default Media Player installed on your computer.
6. To save videos, select the videos that you would like to save and drag them to the folder or location where you would like to save them on your computer.
