Nikon Coolscan III LS-30 Scanner Firmware Update 1.3.1 for Mac OS

This is the firmware updater for the LS-30/Coolscan III Scanner for a Macintosh computer system.

To check the current version of firmware in your Coolscan product: Launch Nikon Scan. When the main scanner control window opens the firmware version will be displayed in the main title bar.

Firmware 1.3.1 for the LS-30 corrects the following issues:

1. Occasional loss of detail in shadows when scanning monochrome (black and white) negatives.
2. The negative pre-scan option now offers an automatic mode, together with three additional modes, that can be chosen according to the image scanned. This function is only available when the scanner is used with Nikon Scan versions 2.5 or later.
